A migraine is no ordinary headache. Many of us suffer a headache once in a while. We take some over-the-counter medications, then continue with our day, pain free. A migraine, on the other hand, often occurs with intense pain, nausea, vomiting, and visusal aura. Over-the-counter medications may offer some relief from a migraine, but they are often inadequate and may trigger future migraines. Neurofeedback as a treatment for migraine is well supported by clinical evidence. Data shows migraine symptoms lessen and diminish over time when treated with neurofeedback therapy.
